Agenda Business Meeting

Tuesday, April 1 at 7 PM, Bay Library

 

1. Pledge of Allegiance

 

2. George Ryan welcomes new members and guests. We will invite the OH Democratic Party to provide a speaker on the Neighborhood Program.

 

3. George Ryan reports on the appointment of Dick Kmetz, Lorianne Dyke, Bob Jensen and Harriet Gannon to review seven Bay High applications for BVDC scholarships. Topic for the essay is “The Vital importance of the November Presidential Election for America and the World”.

 

4.  Barb Gallo asks for approval of minutes of last meeting.

 

5.  Bob Jensen Treasurer Report.

 

6.  Valerie Voigt and Bob Jensen to report on the Irish Tea and Dance.

 

7. George Ryan comments on the Primary Election and the importance of Precinct Leaders who serve the Party, the BVDC Club and the community.

 

8. Open discussion on the status of the BV charter amendment to allow for primary election of city officials and the BV budget including charge for trash pick-up and controversy over the reduction of firefighters on duty.

 

9. George Ryan calls for the election of officers who were nominated at the last meeting at which time a motion was passed to close the nominations. The Officers are elected for a one year period and their tenure starts at the close of this meeting. The candidates are: Valerie Voigt, President; Barb Gallo, Vice President; George Sterle, Secretary; and, Bob Jensen, Treasurer. Ryan will call for a motion and a second to vote for this complete slate by acclamation. Turn meeting over to Valerie Voigt.
