SUCCESS. Thanks to all that attended and assistance.
As all were present can attest, the third annual event was a success.
Food was delicious and plentiful. Irish Music by the Nan O’Malley Band was beautiful and spirited.
The Bay Lodge was decorated for the Green with imagination and better arrangements. The auction items were generously provided by individuals and local merchants and assisted living and health care facilities.
I believe we met our goal to raise a net of $1,500 to give away in scholarships and grants to needy Bay Village senior, recreation and youth organizations.
A rousing thanks to all who prepared the food, set up and broke down the Lodge, provided the music and the dancers and in particular to Valerie Voigt and to Maureen Gorie. A thousand blessings to all who helped.
We had only one item that was not bid on. It is a lovely framed original watercolor country scene in the fall with a red barn. It was painted by a local Bay Village artist Gordon Moellman. The value of the artwork is at least $150 and we asked that the bidding start at $75.
If you would like to see a digital image of the watercolor, please click back to me. If you wish to bid on it, please send me a bid before or after you see the digital image.
